Fire Insurance is arranged to provide compensation in respect of damage to the insured properties as a result of FIRE, LIGHTNING, EXPLOSION or other special perils like impact damage by Aircraft or Road Vehicles, Flood, Riot & Strike, Malicious damage, Earthquake etc.

The Insured properties may include the following items:

Buildings
Machinery
Office Furniture & Fittings
Stock in trade
Goods held in trust or on commission

Cover can be arranged on declaration basis depending on the total value of the properties at risk and discounts can be granted for availability of:

Adequate Fire Extinguishing Appliances or sprinklers (FEA Discount - 5%)
Long Term Agreement (LTA) i.e. An agreement to place the policy with a particular underwriter or underwriters for a specified number of years of not less than 3 years, but not more than 5 years. A discount of 5% is allowed for 3 years and 7.5% for 5 years.
